BIOGRAPHY

Margo Watson is that rare performer who easily moves between concert and theater halls. The Salt Lake Tribune reviewed, "few sopranos can match Margo Watson's range of expression and vocal talent... With her clean, pristine... yet lyrical and supple voice, she can do it all-from Baroque to Gershwin, and she does it magnificently."
 
Appearing as the featured soloist with numerous orchestras, some of Ms. Watson's favorite highlights include A Salute to Andrew Lloyd Webber, Irving Berlin Classics, A Jellicle Night-Cats in Concert, Mary Poppins-In Concert, A Salute to Gershwin, Broadway's Best and An Evening of Gilbert and Sullivan. Margo Watson has also performed numerous times with the Utah Symphony in concerts as soloist in Messiah, the  music of Lerner and Lowe, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Leonard Bernstein and classic Viennese favorites. 
 
She enjoyed similar success singing the soloing in  Beethoven's Ninth Symphony with the National Repertory Symphony of Colorado;  On Broadway with the Cleveland Pops Orchestra and Toledo Symphony; Porgy and Bess in the title role with the American West Symphony, and the Western premier of Daniel Gawthorp's Behold the Miracle in the Mormon Tabernacle in Salt Lake City, Utah. Recently, Ms. Watson performed in the Mozart Festival in Salzburg, Austria while performing in concerts throughout Germany as a requested artist. She received critical acclaim for her performance of  selections from Samson, Die Zauberflote, Susannah, La Traviata, Porgy and Bess and Die Fledermaus in Hawaii. The Maui  Sentinel reviewer said, her inspired selection of arias demonstrated the soprano's range and versatility... Sung effortlessly through complex high notes and musical patterns.
 
A few of Margo Watson's theatrical roles include Die Zauberflote (Pamina); Die Fledermaus (Adele); The Secret Garden (Lily); Mikado (Yum Yum); Pirates of Penzance (Mabel); Hello Dolly (Dolly); The King and I (Anna); The Music Man (Marian); My Fair Lady (Eliza); Guys and Dolls (Sarah Brown), Annie (Grace Farrell), The Sound of Music (Maria); and Phantom (Christine). The review of her most performance in Phantom said, perfectly cast as Christine, operatically trained Margo Watson, did a magnificent job.
 
Margo Watson had a successful US tour and album release as the leading role in the original musical Charly." She later toured with her sisters nationwide and released a Christian Country album called "Three Again." They frequently fronted Country Music Awards' Group of the Year, "Diamond Rio." She has toured internationally in Good Will Performing Groups to India , Nepal ,Philippines , Sri Lanka , Spain and Europe and thoroughly enjoyed working for Disney World as An All-American Singer/Dancer.
 
Ms. Watson's other performance expertise includes broadcasting, where she has been the principal talent in numerous national commercials, movies, infomercials and local programming. She was Mrs. Utah and Mrs. International in 1995 while mother of four talented children.  Margo's most recent CD called "Always Broadway" containing Broadway's favorite tunes is available during intermission or on her website  margowatson.org, where samples of her cd may be heard. She is thrilled to work again with the unparalleled performer Gregg Busch and Maestro Carl Topilow.
